Book Club Selection: The Passion of Artemisia

{C4B7E5D8-C8BF-486B-8866-B9092F7F77F5}Img100As I stated last week, I’m usually reading two books. I just finished this book and recently started reading The Passion of Artemisia by Susan Vreeland. If you are thinking that you’ve heard of this book and maybe read it in high school you will be correct. I’ve never read this book before, but as of this writing I’m on Chapter three.

My history of reading the classics dates back to my wanting to read more books than was required in high school. With a quick search online I found two list; the best classics and books you should read before you graduate high school. With these books, I never counted how many, I set off on my literature journey.

I started reading books from this list in 2008, but still have a long way to go. I think it’s fun to read and it makes choosing books a lot easier when you have a list in front of you. I may publish the book list in the future, but if you want it let me know.

I will post periodically about the book, but so far it seems like it will be an easy and enjoyable read. I will keep you posted. If you want to join in and read it along with me, I invite you too. Just leave a comment below!

What book(s) are you reading?

————————————- Updated 5/1/13

I finished the book and it was a great read. Do not judge this book by its cover. It was a story with great depth and thoughtful characters. It’s a classic that is worth the read.
