Speech of the Week: J.K. Rowling Speaks at Harvard
Inspired by my recent post about Oprah’s Stanford commencement speech, I’ve now become obsessed with watching and sharing speeches. From that comes a new series: Speech of the Week.
Our first (or second) comes from J.K. Rowling 2008 Harvard Commencement Speech about failure. It is best if you listen to the speech and take away what you will, but here is a quote to give you a taste:
“It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.”
Below you will find the full speech. After you watch, tell me your thoughts on what the author shared.
